Charitable Tax Donation Scheme

If a person donates €250 or more during the year, we would be able to claim a tax refund on the donation. The Charitable Donation Scheme allows the Little Flower Penny Dinners to reclaim up to 44.9% in tax from the donation.

This means that an original donation amount of €250 can ultimately be worth €362 with a tax refund €112 (44.9%).

If you wish, you can authorise The Little Flower Penny Dinners to claim tax back on your donations for the current tax year and the next 4 years or alternatively you can choose one of the previous four years. This helps us financially and reduces administrative time, allowing us to focus on serving more meals for the community. Please note that this does not in any way commit you to future donations, but ensures we can claim back on them if you choose to donate again.

If you have questions or want to find out more, feel free to give us a call at 01-4536621

176 years later and Ireland is still hungry

Despite the notion that hunger is something we left behind way back in the 1800’s, food poverty is still a huge, yet almost hidden problem in modern day Ireland. Over 100,000 children go to bed hungry every night. 20% of parents regularly skip meals to feed their families. Since 2020, the demand for food help increased by 70%. Famine Food Bank is here to provide a stark reminder that hunger isn’t something we left behind 176 years ago.
