Join Us for National Food Bank Day

We are proud to host the third annual Little Flower Penny Dinners National Food Bank Day this September, a growing community effort to support those most in need.

National Food Bank Day takes place on the first Friday of September, and this year it falls on 5th September 2025. Since launching this initiative in 2023 with the encouragement of one of our main sponsors, Toast.org, it has grown year on year, with more businesses, organisations, and individuals joining in to support our work.

The goal is simple but vital: To raise funds for our running costs and to collect non-perishable food items like tinned goods, tea bags, biscuits and more. These donations help us prepare the warm meals we serve every weekday at noon and deliver through our meals-on-wheels service, plus any spare food that we may not be able to use up will be shared with local food banks in the area to ensure that nothing goes to waste. 

We welcome support from local businesses, corporate teams, community groups and individuals. Whether you want to run a collection, organise a fundraiser, or make a direct donation.
